Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy usually comes with questions. That's normal, and it's a good sign you're thinking it through carefully. Below are answers to what people most often ask before their first session, from how telehealth works to what a typical course of treatment looks like. If you don't see what you're looking for, reach out directly and I'll answer it myself.

I provide individual counseling and psychotherapy for adults in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. My practice welcomes people of all backgrounds, and I've worked with a wide range of populations and concerns. The issues I treat most often are OCD, PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, and general life stress. Whatever you're facing, I'm equipped to help.

ERP is a specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the gold-standard treatment for OCD. I'm trained in ERP. If OCD is what you're dealing with, this is where we'd start.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a well-established, evidence-based approach for processing trauma and PTSD. It's also effective for certain forms of anxiety. If this sounds like it fits what you're working through, I'm trained to help.

I accept most major insurance plans. See the full list here. If your plan is listed, I'd still recommend confirming in-network status and your specific benefits directly with your provider.
If I'm not in-network with your plan, ask your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits. I'm glad to submit an out-of-network claim on your behalf.
